Trustpoint is excited to partner with a leading global media and entertainment organization in its search for a Digital Antipiracy Counsel to support online enforcement and anti-piracy initiatives on a long-term contract basis. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of intellectual property, technology, and digital media, with exposure to high-impact enforcement strategies and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with online enforcement initiatives, including website infringements, social media issues, and domain name recovery
  • Support the development and execution of digital media enforcement strategies
  • Conduct and support online investigations into piracy incidents and users, partnering with internal teams and external investigative services
  • Confirm rights in selected works and contribute to enforcement matters from initial investigation through resolution
  • Draft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements and amendments, and advise internal stakeholders on contractual terms
  • Collaborate with internal business teams, legal and technology vendors, outside counsel, and industry partners
  • Monitor and participate in industry groups focused on anti-piracy efforts
  • Stay current on evolving legal, policy, and technology developments related to intellectual property and digital enforcement
  • Manage multiple high-priority projects with strong attention to detail, organization, and efficiency

Qualifications:

  • JD or equivalent from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing, or eligibility to register as In-House Counsel
  • 5+ years of experience in a law firm or a combination of law firm and in-house environments
  • Experience handling intellectual property matters, including anti-piracy enforcement and licensing
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience with online enforcement strategies and distribution or licensing agreements preferred
  • Familiarity with international intellectual property frameworks preferred

Schedule:

  • Hybrid schedule: Monday through Thursday in office, Friday remote

Duration & Compensation:

  • Special project expected to start in June and run through February 2027
  • Pay rate of $90–$100/hour, commensurate with experience
