A well-regarded Boston-based law firm is seeking a talented and driven Associate Attorney to join its Family Law Practice Group on a hybrid basis (three days a week in the office in the Financial District in Boston is required). The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of experience handling complex family law matters, with exposure to probate litigation being a plus.
This position offers the opportunity to play an active role in a sophisticated and dynamic practice, with significant courtroom exposure and direct client interaction. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced trial attorneys and will be expected to take responsibility for managing a diverse caseload. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Represent clients in complex family law matters, including divorce, custody, asset division, and alimony
- Handle or assist in probate litigation, as needed
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and memoranda
- Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials
- Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and expert witnesses
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to prepare for and execute trial strategies
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of experience in complex, high net worth family law; probate litigation experience is a plus
- Excellent writing and research skills
- Strong financial and analytical skills, particularly in asset division and income analysis
- Superior interpersonal and client-relations skills
- Must be admitted to practice in Massachusetts
- Outstanding academic credentials
