Legal Secretary – Litigation – D.C.

Trustpoint is proud to partner with an AmLaw 100 firm in their search of a Legal Secretary in their Washington, D.C. office to provide administrative client services to both internal and external clients. This is a direct hire role with a hybrid schedule and will support the firms litigation department.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a consistent physical presence to facilitate an interactive and collaborative environment
- Coordinate administrative functions and facilitate completion of tasks including billing, time entry, opening new matters, meetings and other administrative projects as assigned
- Prepare complex legal documents and correspondence and file with appropriate court or agency
- Review and support of the client billing process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Manage the legal and administrative practices of attorneys
- Overtime on an as needed basis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 5+ years of legal secretarial experience or relevant legal experience (required)
- 2+ years Litigation experience (required)
- Advanced ability to organize, prioritize, coordinate, delegate and work as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Advanced knowledge of time keeping, expense processing and legal billing
- Advanced knowledge of relevant jurisdictional/court/agency processes and procedures
- Proven ability to function as a coordinator with other firm-wide departments with necessary communication skills to transfer instructions/data, verify results, resolution of conflict and delivery or results
