Trustpoint is proud to partner with an AmLaw 100 firm in their search of a Legal Secretary in their Los Angeles office to provide administrative client services to both internal and external clients. This is a direct hire role with a hybrid schedule and will support the firms litigation department.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a consistent physical presence to facilitate an interactive and collaborative environment
  • Coordinate administrative functions and facilitate completion of tasks including billing, time entry, opening new matters, meetings and other administrative projects as assigned
  • Prepare complex legal documents and correspondence and file with appropriate court or agency
  • Review and support of the client billing process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage the legal and administrative practices of attorneys
  • Overtime on an as needed basis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • 5+ years of legal secretarial experience or relevant legal experience (required)
  • 2+ years Litigation experience (required)
  • Advanced ability to organize, prioritize, coordinate, delegate and work as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced knowledge of time keeping, expense processing and legal billing
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant jurisdictional/court/agency processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to function as a coordinator with other firm-wide departments with necessary communication skills to transfer instructions/data, verify results, resolution of conflict and delivery or results

Compensation for this role will be 65k - 85k depending on experience.
