Senior Benefits Analyst – Legal

Description
Trustpoint is thrilled to partner with a leading global and AmLaw 100 firm in their search of a Senior Benefits Analyst in their Los Angeles office. This is a direct hire role with a hybrid schedule and will report to the Director of Talent Management.
Responsibilities:
- Provides subject-matter expertise and support for the administration of U.S. and International health and welfare, leave of absence and retirement plans
- Assists with leaves of absence administration, worker’s compensation, and compliance programs
- Responds to benefit inquiries regarding plan provisions, enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries
- Supports member education and participation campaigns in all program and plan offerings, including open enrollment projects, working with vendors/brokers consultants to manage project plans, employee communications, presenting plans to all employees, gathering and analyzing data, and preparing recommendations
- Serves as liaison with third-party vendors to provide prompt assistance in resolving benefit-related issues
- Identifies and recommends improvements to current processes to ensure that overall performance is aligned with business objectives and metrics;
- Assists with the execution of system changes (e.g., testing updates, new configurations), identify reoccurring issues and partner with colleagues to implement customer service oriented solutions
- Acts with a high degree of integrity, professionalism and discretion handling confidential employee information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Business (preferred) or equivalent professional work experience in Human Resources or Benefits and Absence Management
- 5+ years of Health and Welfare and Leaves Administration experience (preferred)
- Employee Benefits Specialist certification (CEBS) or Professional in Human Resources certification (PHR), preferred
- Fundamental to advanced knowledge of benefits and employment/leave of absence related laws, regulations and practices; (i.e. COBRA, HIPAA-HITECH, Section 125, qualifying family events, PPACA, ADAAA, FMLA, CFRA, PDLL, OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, ERISA, 401(k), 415)
- Fundamental knowledge of general payroll concepts and proficiency in payroll systems (i.e. ADP)
- Proficiency in HCM systems (Workday preferred)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Must be a collaborative team member and progressive thinker with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks from inception to completion in a fast-paced changing environment

The salary for this role will range from 85,000 - 110,000 based on experience.
