Downtown Hartford Corporation is looking for a contracts professional to join their legal department on a temporary basis for about 6 months. The Contracts Administrator will work directly with the General Counsel and will work on both domestic and international contracts. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist lawyers in the Company’s law department in reviewing, coordinating, and negotiating vendor contracts, non-disclosure agreements and certain customer agreements.
Provide contract support services to Procurement, HR, IT and various other departments within the Company.
Several years of experience reviewing and working with contracts and agreements.
High School Diploma is required
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to perform legal research independently
Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative
Strong interpersonal skills
Commitment to superior customer service
Paralegal Certificate, Associates Degree in Legal Studies, or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related area is preferred
Superior proficiency in MS Word (including experience creating document templates with form fields and password protection), MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
