Downtown Hartford Corporation is looking for a contracts professional to join their legal department on a temporary basis for about 6 months.  The Contracts Administrator will work directly with the General Counsel and will work on both domestic and international contracts.  Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist lawyers in the Company’s law department in reviewing, coordinating, and negotiating vendor contracts, non-disclosure agreements and certain customer agreements.
  • Provide contract support services to Procurement, HR, IT and various other departments within the Company.

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience reviewing and working with contracts and agreements.
  • High School Diploma is required
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform legal research independently
  • Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to superior customer service
  • Paralegal Certificate, Associates Degree in Legal Studies, or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related area is preferred
  • Superior proficiency in MS Word (including experience creating document templates with form fields and password protection), MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
