Trustpoint.one is pleased to be working with a prestigious Midtown firm with an opening for an entry level Accounting Generalist to perform a variety of general accounting support tasks related to billing, cash receipts and accounts payable. The Accounting Generalist responsibilities to include opening and closing matters, saving Client Engagement Letters in Filesite, entering new timekeepers/bill rates in Elite, moving/transferring time for Attorneys, recording cash receipts in the daily cash sheet, researching daily cash receipts (deposits via wire, ACH, Check, and Credit Card) and posting them in the accounting system, tracking unallocated funds, creating vendor and payee records in the accounting system, processing vendor invoices, credit card transactions and third-party online payments, posting and recording vendor payments, corresponding with vendors regarding invoices and payments, serving as lead for accounting general emails and calls and assisting with ad-hoc projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career accounting professional to get experience in a collegial environment.
Applicants should be proactive professional with strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills, the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, the ability to handle confidential information discreetly and should be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time. A college degree and the ability to work overtime as necessary are required.
Salary is $44K-$55K, commensurate with experience.
